Biography:
Kaylee grew up in a lower class home in the inner city in a house that didn't seem to really want her. She was never particularly bad as a kid. She got into her share of trouble and tended to make Cs and Ds in school. Her parents, though, argued with each other constantly about their living situation. The only thing they did seem to agree on was that if they hadn't had Kaylee, then they'd be in a much better situation. They seemed to make sure Kaylee could hear these parts of their arguments and didn't seem to really care for her at all. They shouted at her fairly often as well about their living condition and about how she wasn't contributing enough. During this time she developed a rather indifferent outlook on life. Her parents couldn't even be bothered to take her to her own high-school graduation. Things didn't get much better after high-school either. She had trouble holding down a job and her parents continued to blame her for the way their lives were going. So one night, she stuffed a couple changes of clothes into a large backpack, grabbed her skate board and a stuffed rabbit that she'd had since she was a kid, and left without saying a word. As far as she knew her parents never bothered to look for her and she never looked back. She became a drifter, wandering around and sleeping wherever she could find shelter. Earning money for necessities was difficult but she found ways to get by. Stripping was by far the easiest way to get money. She wasn't old enough to strip but a lot of the lower end clubs were desperate enough to have a good looking girl in their employ that they didn't look to close into who they were hiring. She never stayed in one spot for too long and, after a few days of saving up money, she'd move on to the next, using her longboard as her main method of transportation. Despite being homeless, she managed to stay away from the drug scene and avoided any men with... ulterior intentions for her. She even found a camping axe that she carried with her for protection. The world around her was pretty harsh as well. humans lived along side an anthropomorphic race of people. The government and authorities were pretty oppressive to anyone but the rich and riots were a commonplace thing. Kaylee had been part of a few and she had been arrested a couple times but nothing stuck and she'd find herself back on the streets. Life was pretty tough but it was hers. Still, she longs for a place that would not only accept her but also a place where she felt like she belonged.
