Name: Sypha Camila Belnades
Sex: Female
Species: Human
Height: 5'5"
Weight: Rude.
That is a rude question.
You are a rude person.
Age: 20
Hair Color: Orange
Eye Color: Ice blue
Skin Color: White
Personality: Upbeat yet slightly melancholic with a kind heart. Sypha is incredibly knowledgeable and possesses a sharp tongue. She is easily frustrated at times by unintelligent people. She is prone to being particularly snarky when she wants to be.
Weakness: Physical combat - Sypha is a magical powerhouse with an incredibly versatile selection of spells that give her mastery over virtually every element, but she relies on others for brute strength, and can't take much of a hit.
Profession: Speaker Magician
Weapons: Belnades Staff
Armor: None
Items: None
Skills: 1, 2:Medicine
3: Mystic and Occult Lore
4: History
5: Clairvoyance
Languages: ... Virtually all of them (on Earth at least), even dead and occult tongues. The ones she doesn't know, she can pick up incredibly quickly. She belongs to a group known as Speakers who accumulate knowledge and communicate it verbally (something which she professes as a mistake, she is a supporter of the written word and has gone on record saying she thinks her people are idiots).
Description and/or Picture:
Stats:Fighting: Typical [6]
Justification: Sypha is capable of surviving a physical fight with help, but she's never been shown to wield any form of martial arts or weapon, relying solely on her magic. As such, she can neither block nor really fight in melee.
Agility: Very Good [15]
Justification: While she is not a fighter, Sypha is shown to be particularly agile. A fast sprinter, and capable of weaving in and out of combat at high speed.
Strength: Poor [4]
Justification: Sypha is shown to be below average in strength without the aid of her magic.
Endurance: Good [10]
Justification: Sypha -is- above average in endurance, but not by much. She survived a fight with the strongest vampire to exist and even managed to take a single hit from the Vampire Lord (something that would have killed most mortals), but was by far the most wounded of the trio when the fight was finished.
Reasoning: Remarkable [30]
Sypha is shown to have a genius level intellect with a photographic memory. She is capable of understanding concepts from years beyond her time, even where science hasn't evolved to explain them yet.
Intuition: Excellent [20]
Similarly, Sypha has incredibly astute powers of observation, to the point of being able to recognize a well concealed alchemists symbol the size of a coin on a monk, identify it as the alchemical symbol for sulfur and recognizing it's connection with hell as a sign the monks were not to be trusted.
Psyche: Fantastic [35]
By far Sypha's strongest attribute. Sypha is a force of nature with her magic. Although drawn from a point before she exhibits her greatest magical feats, Sypha is capable of challenging vampires and demons with her spells, even Dracula felt it necessary to focus on her over a man from a legendary family of vampire hunters (Belmont) and his own son during their fight.
Hit Points: 35
Stamina Points: 60
Mana: 85
Spells / Special Abilities:Elemental Manipulation - Sypha has near mastery over the elements ranging from simple parlor tricks to potent and destructive force. She can freeze liquids (including beer) with a thought, summon platforms of ice, or unleash a deadly hail of ice daggers. She can light torches (or simply hold a fireball in her hand) or conjure a tornado of flame. She can summon a burst of wind or a hurricane force gust to deflect projectiles. Tendrils of shadow, rays of light, even electricity itself (though she struggles with this particular power as it's a combination of several others).
- Pyrokinesis - Heat objects, conjure fireballs which she can safely hold, conjure fire, conjure flames which can be manipulated with aerokinesis (flame gouts, flame tornadoes, etc), conjure firewalls and flamethrower like blasts from her fingers
- Cryokinesis - Freeze liquids/surfaces, produce platforms and surfaces of ice shaped to her command, summon blades and daggers which can be projected using telekinesis at machine gun-like speeds.
- Aerokinesis - Conjure local air movement powerful enough to move herself, soften landings, and produce non-lethal blasts of air to knock over opponents and objects, telekinesis like manipulation of people and objects
- Electrokinesis - Summoning ball and chain lightning, shockwaves, as well as arcing walls of electricity (note: Electrokinesis is actually a clever combination of her other abilities - it's considered particularly draining)
- Photokinesis - Focusing light into intense rays and beams, creating tangible shadows
Biography:Note: For purposes of balance, this Sypha is taken from post-Season 2 of the Castlevania anime, to simplify the insane heights of power she reaches later in the series.
Speakers (noun): A group of nomadic scholars who collect knowledge that would otherwise be lost to history. They believe that books lack the nuance and context of the spoken word, and thus focus entirely upon oral tradition. Altruistic idealists, they move about the world in tribes in order to bear witness to the birth of history and spread their knowledge and learning as far and wide as they can. They are a highly persecuted group, as some of their knowledge delves into the forbidden and occult.Sypha Belnades was born from Spanish members of the speaker tribe, and is a direct descendent of elder of her tribe. Showing magical aptitude from a young age as well as a passion for knowledge and learning, she spent much of her childhood embracing both the knowledge of 15th century Europe as well as the arcane as they travelled around the continent in pursuit of their ideals. Although many in her order are pacifists, Sypha does not hesitate to weaponize her potent magic in defense of the innocent, and her views on Speakers using exclusively oral tradition as a means to house knowledge have repeatedly brought her at odds with her tribe. She is a spirited, passionate, upbeat and playful individual, and a brilliant mind in an era where women were not respected for such.
Her most notable accomplishments started with the siege on Gresit, when she boldly ventured into the city catacombs in search of the 'Sleeping Soldier' of legend. Sypha's expedition ended in tragedy, turned to stone from the gaze of a Cyclops. She was freed when Trevor Belmont slayed the beast, and joined his expedition to rid the land of Dracula and end his campaign against humanity (something which they successfully did do several months later).
With Dracula deceased, Sypha
