Biography:
Linka grew up in Hateno Village. This countryside dwelling led to her and her family of Knights receiving disrespect from nobles, but she had grown from such humble origins. As a child, she was a curious girl who was full of energy, but also a little reckless. As she grew older, she became much quieter and outwardly colder, though potentially still the same person buried inside. Due to her importatn role within the Kingdom of Hyrule, Linka grew to be a very strong and silent type.
It was a fateful day when she pulled the Master Sword from the stone in the Lost Woods and became the 'Champion chosen by the sword'. The Master Sword, also known as the Blade of Evil's Bane, the Sword that Seals the Darkness, was legendary. It was this promotion to Champion that King Rhoam of Hyrule made Linka the personal bodyguard to Princess Zelda. Why she needed one was shortly found out.
A seer had come to Hyrule and spoke of an evil force known as Calamity Ganon that would descend upon Hyrule. Excavation around the lands had turned up giant mechanical creatures that were called Divine Beasts, and smaller, but no less powerful entities that were dubbed Guardians. Things of such unfathomable technology, that the forces of Hyrule rushed to understand and control to confront Calamity Ganon when it came.
Zelda had traveled the lands to both pray to various shrines to the goddess Hylia to help unlock her inherited power to seal away darkness and collect a band of Champions from each race to pilot their Divine Beasts, the Guardians roaming and just waiting for something to target. It was on the day of the Princess' seventeenth birthday when Calamity descended upon them. Ganon used his powers to take the castle and corrupted the Guardians and Divine Beasts to turn against the Champions.
She took down a great number of Guardians before their numbers overwhelmed herself and the Princess as they were fleeing. It soon became clear that they were surrounded and she watched as Princess Zelda was cut down in front of her. She raised her Master Sword to the heavens and the goddess Hylia answered, destroying the Guardians around them. Some time during the excavation, a vault that acted as some sort of medical facility was found. It would hold someone in stasis and heal them over time. She carried the Princess there and set her into the statis pod, watching her charge sink into the luminescent liquid.
A number came up of almost nine hundred thousand hours until healing would be complete. A quick scribbling in the dirt, she realized that it would take approximately one hundred years for her to fully heal. She would be long dead when Zelda awoke. She left a sorrowful recorded video with the Shieka Slate explaining what had happened, and that she loved her dearly, and that this would be goodbye. She set the Shieka Slate in an obvious location, and left to find a way to seal the darkness that was Calamity Ganon.
