Description and/or Picture: Seifer is a young, tall, well-built, handsome man with sharply-cut features, short-cropped hair and piercing eyes. His face is marred by a long, diagnoal, red scar across the bridge of his nose from his forehead to his cheek, evidence of an upward slashing blow he received at some point. He carries himself tall, proud -- overly so -- and confidently, projecting strength from his broad shoulders down to his feet. His years of physical training through his adolescent and teenage years has made him muscular, strong, and agile, and while he is quick, his movements carry power rather than grace. His preferred clothing includes vests, baggy pants, and a signature grey coat with a stylized red cross on each sleeve.

Para-Magic - Less a "school" and more a method of casting magic, this style of "psuedo-magic" allows a user to draw upon spiritual energy from another entity or a certain part of the environment, then replicate it through the use of an extra-planar entity known as a 'Guardian Force.' Interdimensional travel has limited Seifer's connection to his Guardian Forces, preventing him from utilizing it to its fullest potential but still permitting him to "Draw" the spiritual energies around him and repurpose them to cast emulations of magic spells.

Biography:
Seifer Almasy was orphaned by the Great Sorceress Wars that spanned the planet he was born on, a violent conflict between the martial democracy of Galbadia and the futuristic monarchy of Esthar. He was placed into an orphanage on the southernmost tip of the inhabited world, a loving home ran by Cid and Edea Kramer for children just like him. As the war went on, more children were brought to the orphanage and others cycled out... making the Kramers grow weary of the war brought on by a Sorceress' might and thirst for power. They finally put into place a program they'd been working on in secret for years: SeeDs, special forces soldiers trained in the use of cutting-edge "para-magic" that would allow them to fight future Sorceresses and stop conflicts like these from beginning.
Cid and Edea lobbied for money and support from the world's governments after the war ended, eventually building three "Gardens" out of ancient Centran shelters that would grow SeeDs, training and educating them as soldiers and leaders in their chosen fields outside the military. Their wards were spread throughout the three Gardens, with Seifer and several others he was close with ending up at Balamb Garden, a school/training facility on an idyllic island in the center of the world's two continents.
Seifer excelled academically and practically as a SeeD trainee, growing his knowledge and prowess daily, though he would constantly use both to belittle his classmates and establish himself as a power wielder within the student -- and teacher -- hierarchy. Seifer's dreams, known to none but himself, made him into a romantic, taking after his favorite films that portrayed a good Sorceress and her knight valiantly fighting and vanquishing evil to save the world; however, Seifer's romanticism about leadership and decisive action has led him to fail the SeeD exams multiple times, holding him from graduating as he disobeys orders and exceeds the mandates from his superiors.
After failing his most recent exam in the country of Dollet, Seifer returned to Balamb Garden to wait for his next chance to show what he is truly capable of.
