Perils of the Warp: While Psykers are considered powerful beings versed in the ways of the Warp, they also must be wary of their own abilities. If a Psyker should botch while performing an ability, they suffer damage equal to the cost of that ability.
Psyker Abilities: Phantasmancy
Veil of Tears - Sketching a gesture in the air, the Shadowseer snatches the image of the Harlequins from the minds of their foes, and plucks it out, hiding them from sight. Until the caster's next turn, all allies gain +1CS to Agility rolls when attempting to dodge ranged attacks.
Shards of Light - The Shadowseer reaches out and plucks blades of light from thin air. Though nothing but illusion, this trick is so realistic that it fools the senses utterly, the blades inflicting horrific psychosomatic wounds as they whistle through the air to blind and impale. On a successful cast, the target takes damage as well as a -1CS to a random FASE stat until the caster's next turn.
Mirror of Minds - The Shadowseer singles out a foe and appears to them as an apparition lodged in their subconscious. Reality falls away before the helpless victim, replaced by a warped mirrormaze of the Shadowseer’s making. Though only seconds pass in the real world, within the victim's mind they must strive against the Shadowseer's will for days, months, even years in their efforts to escape. The caster and target roll Psyche until the target beats the caster's roll. For each loss, the target takes damage.
Equipment:
Creidann Launcher: This strange fluted backpack is really a grenade launcher that fires grenades filled with a narcotic gas. This gas causes those who inhale it to suffer from minor hallucinations for a short amount of time. -1CS to Psyche for anyone that breathes the gas.
Flip Belts - The Flip-Belt is a wonder of Aeldari technology, a portable anti-grav generator keyed to trigger upon the mental command of its wearer. So incredibly lightweight are flip-belts that they do nothing to hamper their wearer's natural agility. Instead, they heighten it to the point that Harlequins can leap clean over all but the most towering obstacles, springing and bounding through rubble and wreckage with supernatural ease.
Effect: +1 Agility while worn.
Holo Suit - In place of the thick armour plates used by less advanced races, all Aeldari warriors use psychically activated bodysuits. In battle, the trademark holo-suits (or dathedi -- meaning "between colours") transform the Harlequins into dazzling blurs, their outlines exploding into blizzards of light that leave the foe's aim confounded and their thoughts bewildered. The device incorporates a programmable holo-field that breaks down the wearer’s profile into a fractal lightstorm as they move; the faster they travel, the more pronounced the effect. So it is that a charging Harlequin appears as nothing more than an indistinct, prismatic storm that is nigh-on impossible to hit, allowing them to simply avoid blows that would otherwise lay them low.
Effect: +1 Fighting while worn.
Biography: Alma'hiel has been in the presence of Cegorach's Harlequins for all of her life. As a child she heard The Laughing God's will calling her to hone her Psyker abilities. When she was old enough, she learned the secrets of the Black Library, the vault of knowledge of the universe. It was here she learned of her future role in Cegorach's Grand Performance. She became a Shadowseer, a Harlequin Psyker that manifests the powers of the Warp to aid her allies in combat.
Being a Psyker is no easy task. One must take care to not over exert their power, or they become victim to the chaos that is the Warp. Alma'hiel had trained from a young age, learning the hardest abilities a Shadowseer possibly could. Once ready, she joined her kindred in their performances both on and off the field of battle.
Since then, she has been in many battles across the solar system in an attempt to stop Slaanesh and the Chaos Gods.
