Bio:

Two to Eighteen Years Post-Shadowbringers
Born in Kugane to a Hingan merchant couple, Sumiko grew up listening to stories of the Warrior of Light, and how she saved two worlds. After begging her parents for a good two years to be allowed to do it and finally getting permission, Sumi moved to Ishgard with her best friend Azami when she was sixteen and trained as a dragoon, wanting to be a hero just like her idol.

Two Years In Ishgard
It was while she and Azami were in Ishgard that they got word that Alexander, the primal of time, had been re-summoned in the Dravanian Hinterlands. Determined to prove themselves, she and Azami recruited half a dozen of their adventuring friends and journeyed that way to help.



The eight of them relentlessly fought their way through the colossal steel giant, until they finally reached the central core, where Alexander Prime, the actual primal, was waiting for them in a time compression field. Knowing that if they messed this up, Alexander would bleed the world dry of aether, they stepped inside and began the fight.

Close to the end, Alexander had cast one of its time displacements on the party, freezing them in time and then throwing an energy attack at them. Just before the freeze faded, Sumi got hit with said energy wave and was knocked out. Aiswyda, the healer, was halfway across the platform to revive her when a portal opened beneath the unconscious dragoon and she dropped through, waking up on the bank of the Thaliak River twenty years in the past, in present-day Eorzea. It was here that she decided to become an adventurer herself so that she had something to do while waiting for Alexander to get resummoned, however long it took, so she could go home.
