Biography:
Kalaine "Inara" Moonglow lived a peaceful life with her mother, father, and little sister in a house on the outskirts of their town. One day her peaceful life was shattered by a bandit who broke into their house late one evening and brutally murdered her family as she hid and watched. She was able to get a good look at the man's face, however, and swore revenge on him. She got her chance 40 years later when she was singing at a tavern for spare change. She spotted him in the crowd. He didn't seem to recognize her but she knew who he was immediately. That night she followed him home that night and found out that he now had a wife and child of his own. A young girl. She payed him back for what he had done to her family in kind though she left him alive. She'd often fondly yet sorrowfully reminisce later that, "the young one screamed the loudest..." After her task was complete she ran out into the woods, hands and clothing soaked in blood only the full moon lighting her way. She ran as far and as fast as she could. She was sure she had been running for hours but the moon and stars never moved the entire time she ran. Eventually she became exhausted and collapsed there on the forest floor. Then everything went dark. As soon as it had, she opened her eyes. She was laying on her back in the forest but something was different. The moon. It was now only a black void. Around that void burned a dark purple corona. The sheer cruelty of her actions had garnered the attention of Shar, the goddess of loss and darkness. The dark moon grew and seemed to envelop everything. As the last bit of light disappeared she woke up. Gasping for air she sat bolt upright. Her chest felt like someone had placed a heavy stone block on her chest to keep her under water and only let her up at the very last minute. She was still in the same forest she had collapsed in but it was pitch black save for the pinpricks of stars coming through the trees, no moon in the sky. As she came to her senses she smiled. She now had a purpose. She had to carry out the will of Shar and take vengeance on those that would bring harm to others. From then on she's used her skills in deception to bring her own form of justice to those who had brought suffering to others.
