Azusa possesses the power to control all forms of magnetism. She can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. It is unclear, however, whether she must draw magnetic force from outside herself (if so, then she can do so over vast distances), or whether she can also generate magnetic force from within herself. Nor is it clear whether her power is psionic or purely physiological in nature. Azusa's power is, for all practical purposes, limitless. Moreover, she can use her magnetic powers in more than one way simultaneously. She can completely assemble a complicated machine within seconds through her powers. She can erect magnetic force fields with a high degree of impenetrability around herself for protection.

Although Azusa’s primary power is control over magnetism, she can also project or manipulate any form of energy that is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, including visible light, radio waves, ultraviolet light, gamma rays, and x-rays. However, Azusa almost always uses only magnetism, since it’s more difficult for her to manipulate other forms of energy.

The ability to wield superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon one's physical condition. When severely injured, the body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces.

Biography:

Her mother was an alcoholic and she never knew her father. It is unknown who her father was since her mother refused to speak about it. Her mother thought that it would be better if Azusa never knew her father. Azusa decided to use her skills for something good. She found out about her abilities when she was three. Azusa would play with blocks and bend metal for her mother as jewelry. Her mother took it all in stride but as Azusa grew older and asked about her father more and more. The more the bottle looked delicious to her. Azusa did not take offense to this after she grew to be a teenager. She went into hiding with her abilities and acted as if she had no powers outside of her home and largely fenced in yard. It took her no time at all to find a welcome balance between her work and home life. Only herself and her mother knew of her abilities. She planned to keep it that way forever if possible.
