Biography:

Marlene grew up in a small town. Like most who grow up in a small town, they were told they will never achieve anything big. If they could have, they'd have been born in a big town instead. However, being the daughter of a merchant was very boring to her. She had no interest in running her own business, and had little care for wealth.

She started spending her time training with a stick and a garbage can lid, seat of a broken stool, trying to learn to become a fighter so she can be a fighter. After bandits raided the town and she was badly hurt, per parents expressly forbade her from continuing. This did not last long however, as they could see how miserable she was living there. So, with their blessing she moved to the nearest large town to become a warrior.

After being rejected by one school after another, she was finally accepted by the warrior school that includes the Dragoon school that Tifel was part of, ad went to join the cross-world tournaments to prove herself. However, she went on to lose every single match she was in, in multiple years. Eventually she left the school to try to become a Pegasus Knight. However, she was older then the age normally allowed to gain a Pegasus.

Dejected she tried to figure out a way to earn the trust of one. She ended up seeing a Pegasus who had been exploring that had gotten shot in the wing with an arrow and was being beset upon by bandits who believed the wings of a Pegasus are valuable, and also wanted her power for themselves. Despite being seriously injured in the process, she managed to fight off the bandits.

The Pegasus, grateful, immediately declared Marlene her partner, and they have since begun training together.
