Biography: (Spoilers for Lyn's storyline in Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword if you care to read on.)
Lyndis was born from the eloping of Hasar, nomadic chieftain of the Lorca tribe, and Madelyn, the daughter of Lord Hausen, the Marquess of Caelin, and the sole survivor of her tribe after a brutal raid by the Taliver bandits. She found a tactician unconcious in the wilds and nursed him back to health, and a turn of fate finally reared its head after they fended off a bandit raid. From there, she began a journey to Caelin, where Lord Hausen was sickly and ill, cared for by Lord Lundgren, who sought to poison him and end his life, and usurp the throne.
In Bulgar, Sacae's commercial center, Lyndis is assailed by bandits once more, and with the aid of a pair of passing cavaliers, Kent and Sain, they are fended off. They were sent by Hausen to find and protect her, and accompanied her to a traveler's shrine they liberated from rogues. When Lyndis laid her hands upon the Mani Katti, she drew the sword from its scabbard, chosen by the blade to be its wielder.
Along the way to Caelin, she had her troupe rescued her friend, Florina, a young pegasus knight deathly afraid of men, a sellsword named Dorcas who had sunk to banditry to raise money to mend his wife Natalie's broken leg and been convinced to join up instead, a sassy healer named Serra and a stubborn mage named Erk...the group was growing gradually, and became known as Lyndis' Legion. In time, the legion grew to considerable number, and beseiged Caelin's castle as it was garrisoned by Lundgren's army, all while Hausen continued to resist the poisons he was stricken with. Lyndis' Legion eventually emerged victorious, granting her an emotional reunion with her grandfather, pledging to spend her time with him to catch up on two generations of lost time...
...though Lyndis' heart was firmly knotted to the plains of Sacae.
