Elf
Typically nature-loving creatures with a strong sense of magic. Elves are a rare sight on Fantasy Island, but they are seen.
 
Limitations: Elves cannot have higher then Good strength, unless it is magically enhanced. Elves are usually very nimble and quick, and therefore can choose one of the following bonuses on creation: Boost in run speed from Typical to Good, additional +1CS on stealth rolls ( which stacks with the stealth skill ), +1CS to psyche for purpses of magic resistance.

Description: Creates enough drinkable water to go an entire day for one person times the higher circle of Nature Magic you know. You need a container to hold the water.
 
Communication with Animals
Cost: 5MP
Uses: Reasoning/Psyche ( whichever is higher )
Description: Allows you to speak to forest creatures such as deer, foxes, wolves and more for one hour. Once you learn your first fourth circle spell, cost becomes none and a roll is only required when something is resisting it.
 
Sense Life
Cost: 2MP
Uses: Psyche ( Only if there is something in the area attempting to block this spell )
Description: Allows the caster to sense all living beings i nthe enarby area. At first circle this is about a block within a city, or a mile if within an area strong of nature. At level three this spell has no MP cost and can sense life up to three blocks away, or an entire forest if within one.
 
Companion to Animals
Cost: 10MP
Uses: Psyche
Description: Can turn any hostile animal into an ally, convincing it that the caster is one with the forest and will not harm them. This spell will only work on non-sentient animals and is broken only when the animal is harmed or if the spell is released.
 
Biography: Cerridwyn grew up in a traditional forest home, high among the trees. Their village was a calm and peaceful place, still learning the traditional ways of the elders. She was named for the fact that she loved the sun, and would rarely sleep past dawn. Cerridwyn always loved to explore and was an adventurous child. As soon as the day came, she joined the rangers. Humans had started to be sighted on the outskirts of their borders and rangers were called to patrol and guard the borders of their land. War was coming to the lands and while it hadn't yet reached their forest, the elders knew change was coming.
 
After one scouting mission with some fellow rangers, they sighted smoke coming from within the forest. Realising it was close to their home, they swiftly made their way back. It was almost too late. Humans and others they had recruited to the cause, were carving a swathe through the forest, killing and lighting anything on fire. Attempts to reason with the humans resulted in nothing but death or injury. It was clear the humans were being controlled or duped into some cause, they exhibited the telltale signs of cultists worshipping some evil arcane being or deity. Cerridwyn and her sisters pushed the humans back, but at great loss to their number. It was decided that the elves would retreat further into the forest, and join others who had made a fortified home further in the west of the land.
 
Journeying through the lands, the bedraggled survivors met with much resistance and dislike for their kind. No one would tell them why they were so feared or hated, and many times they were attacked. Few places they found refuge, and they soon dwindled. As they neared the new home they travelled to, there was a large force approaching their location. Cerridwyn was chosen to lead a small band of rangers and rogues, to scout out the force and dispatch them if possible. Unfortunately they were set upon by a group of the fanatical humans, who attacked them with more force than ever seen before. After Cerridwyn's friends and companions were slain, she was dragged before their leader. A Warlock who had unmeasurable power, and a desire to purge the lands of her kind. He had some unnatural dislike towards Elves and other such creatures, and was intent on destroying every last one.
 
As a measure of his cruelty, he cursed Cerridwyn. The curse was such that she would spend the daylight hours as a panther, and the night she would return to being an elf again. The only requirement was that she needed to be able to see the sun or the moon to transform. As the Warlock wished to keep her as his pet, he decided for a time, to toy with her and make it seem like he controlled what form she was able to be in. He kept her as his pet, and after a time, grew tired of her. For a long time, he has kept her in a windowless room, in a cage during the night. This is so that she eventually forgets she was ever an elf, and once that happens, she will become a panther for the rest of her life.
