Age: 20
Age in appearance: 20

Personality: Geek / Techie. Gwen might seem distant at first but it’s only because her brain’s going a mile a minute thinking of new solutions to old problems. Like flight. Or a never ending source of energy to power an engine, set up with magnets and metal plates, or setting up energy loops with batteries and alternators.. She’s easily excitable and even easier to anger, but her fits don’t tend to last long and are often played off as the girl being unstable.

Weakness: Her size, lack of resources, and belief that everyone already knows what she’s talking about when she starts a conversation halfway through a sentence that never made it out of her head.

Profession: Mechanic / Engineer

Weapons: Pocket knife, which she willingly wields as if it were a broadsword.
Armor: None
Items: Tools for taking apart or putting together most things, worn on her tool belt or carried with her in her over-sized backpack, knee pads, bits of scrap metal, and a myriad of wrenches and saws for modifying or repairing. Seldom is all that carried with her, normally left on the bike she built for her and Patrick to get around on. More for her… he could fly…

Biography -
Gwen was born far from rich. Her parents worked whatever mediocre jobs they could find around her home town and she had decided at a young age to make their lives easier. She started tinkering with things when she was five years old, trying to take apart radios and make them in to modified metal detectors so she could go treasure hunting when she go to go out instead of going to school. None of her classes save for those geared toward engineering and mechanics got much of her attention, if any at all. It put her at odds with her parents as time went on, reaching a peak as she neared the age of sixteen.

With one of her parents always gone, she figured out how to time her escapades out of the house to gather more material for experimenting, and taking what little money she could earn to buy tools and devices. Upon the completion of her first masterpiece... a perpetual motion engine that was strong enough to power a compact scooter, nearly twice as wide as a normal bike with a space for storage on the back... She left home and set out to sell her design in a bigger city. The decision didn't sit well with her father, who caught her on the way home and tried to talk her out of the mad plan and just focus on her schoolwork to get in to university, but she was set on what she wanted. An argument erupted over her independence, and the sped off toward her future and security for her family.

Failure after failure landed her on the side of the road with her bike with unlimited capacity. Apparently, either someone had just beaten her to the punch or her cost of fifty thousand universal dollars was unreasonable and her temper getting the best of her wound up with no one being interested in the purchasing her design. With no way to go home and face a life of mediocrity she was biding her time, camping on the side of the trade route until she stumbled across a young man with broken wings. Metal wings, secured to him with a harness.

The two started talking and she helped him, and in return, he bought her design. There was a chance of something developing with the way the two were afterward inseparable, Patrick dragging her along on some project or another that always turned in to some law and/or death defying test of equipment to do something stupid. Yet, the time came when she was tired of risking her life and his trying to get him thrills and her neck deep in repairs. Over time she learned to control her temper a little, at least when dealing with something important so long as it wasn't wrenching on some new toy, and carry herself a bit more respectably. For some reason.. her partner in crime knew all about it. She didn't ask about him and he didn't ask about her.. it was the way it was.

One particular night, after he went on his way and she'd gone back to her small workshop behind her parent's new home, she'd packed all of her most useful tools, nothing extra fancy or super heavy, and as many raw materials as she could stuff in her duffel, tossed it on her bike, left a note, and headed out for the open road to see what else she could see. Where else she could put her talents to use. What else she could make that people didn't think could be done.
